This page explains what information we collect when you visit nailtechmadesimple.com or buy from us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Nail Tech Made Simple is operated by AQC Technologies LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we" and "us"). We make illustrated study guides for the nail tech licensing written exam. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
When you buy. Your name, email address, and billing details, including your billing address so we can work out any sales tax. Payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We email you your receipt and a link to your library, where you can sign in with a link sent to your email and download your books again anytime.
When you email us. Your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
When you visit the site. Our website host (Cloudflare) records basic technical information, like your IP address and browser type, to deliver the site and keep it secure. If you arrive from an ad or a link that carries campaign tags (for example "utm_source"), we pass those tags to our checkout so we can tell which ads lead to orders.
Advertising measurement. We use the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API, tools from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram), to measure how our ads perform. The pixel uses cookies and similar technology to record things like which pages you view and whether you start checkout, along with information about your device and browser. When you buy, our checkout may also send Meta details of the purchase (such as its value) together with your email address or other contact details in scrambled (hashed) form, so Meta can match the purchase to an ad. Meta may connect this with information it already has about you, under Meta's own privacy policy (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/).
How we use it
- To email you your receipt and download links, and give you access to your library.
- To answer your questions and handle refunds.
- To understand which ads and pages work and improve the website, so we can show the books to people who may want them.
- To keep records we need for taxes and accounting.
- To show a short "recent purchase" notice on our pages, with a buyer's first name, city and state, the product, and how long ago they bought. We never show last names, email addresses, or amounts paid. Email us if you'd rather not appear, and we'll leave you out.
If you start checkout and don't finish, we may send you up to a few reminder emails about your order. Every one has an unsubscribe link. If we ever email you about anything other than your order, like study tips or a new book, those emails will have an unsubscribe link too.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the companies that help us run the business: Stripe for payments, Resend for sending order and sign-in emails, Google for our email inbox, Cloudflare for website hosting, and Meta for ad measurement as described above. We don't sell your personal information for money.
How long we keep it
We keep order information for as long as we need it to deliver your purchase, handle refunds and support, and meet tax and accounting rules. We keep support emails only as long as they're useful for helping you.
Your choices
- See, fix, or delete your information. Email [email protected] and we'll help. Some states give you additional privacy rights, and we'll honor those requests too.
- Ads. You can control the ads you see in your Meta ad preferences (https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences), opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at optout.aboutads.info, or block and clear cookies in your browser settings.
Children
This site and our books are made for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
